Following a challenge to the validity of the Standards and additional requirements criteria Policy an internal and external review was undertaken against the requirements of AS/NZS ISO/IEC 17020.
The external party was a subject matter expert on ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 11801.
NATA also reviewed the document on request.
The outcome of the internal and external review did not alter the requirements of the Policy however editorial content was changed.
VTI Services Technical Director commented that the Standards and additional requirements Policy will become key when AS/NZS 3080 is replaced. The new standard is likely to have conformance requirements based on a quality plan for testing and sampling levels. The current draft standard contains the following text "Test parameters to be measured and the sampling levels to be applied for a particular installation shall be defined in the installation specification and quality plans for that installation".
The quality plan is required to be in accordance with ISO/IEC 14763-2.
A copy of VTI Services updated Standards and additional requirements criteria Policy can be found in the Technical note section of the website.
