Day 2 of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 25 Interconnection of Information Technology Equipment and WG 3 "Customer Premises Cabling" meeting.

The issue of heat rise in cables addressed today in ISO/IEC 14763-2 working group.
From the work undertaken by the group and supported by round robin testing from univeristies across Europe and US, Indications are that there are no fire risks on remote powered cables.
There are issues with cabling performance, particularly for performance elements that are effected by length.
It is likely the starting point for design will be based on all conductors energised for all cables to 95 Watts.
