Background

Test result verification is a service that verifies test data from in field testing of telecommunication cabling. The service is vendor independent and assesses the test data against published standards; and if required additional documented requirements that you may have.

VTI Services verification service is NATA accredited. NATA is the peak body for inspections in Australia and accreditation is recognised internationally under various Memorandums of Understanding e.g. APLAC in Asia Pacific.

Test result verification can be specified so that the cost for the service is borne by the contractor or by the specifier.

The following text has been provided as a guide; alternative text may be utilised to evoke the test verification service.

  • Test result review
  • All twisted pair and optical fibre test results shall be independently verified as compliant to the nominated standard by an approved Type A NATA accredited inspection body.
    A NATA inspection report and the associated NATA Statement of Compliance shall be provided and included as part of the As-Built documentation by the contractor prior to handover.  


The contractor shall include all costs in his submission associated with the independent review of the test results, including:

  • The costs associated with the NATA accredited inspection body report;
  • Postage and handling; and
  • Other related costs.  

The contractor shall be responsible for any re-testing required to overcome identified deficiencies in the test results and for any retesting required/recommended by the report.
